GEDCOM (Genealogical Data Communication) is the universal standard for exchanging family tree data between genealogy applications. It was developed in 1984 and is supported by virtually every family tree platform today. A .ged file contains your family's people, relationships, dates, places, and events, all in one portable file.

Your family data never leaves your device. When you import a GEDCOM file, it is read and processed entirely inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is sent to any server, and no account is required.
Files you import are saved in your browser's local storage so they're available the next time you visit. This data stays on your device and can be removed at any time.
The site is updated regularly with new features and improvements. The current version is functional but we plan to add more viewing options, better import support, and mobile enhancements. Suggestions are welcome via the feedback form!
