This viewer offers several ways to explore the same underlying data, each suited to a different question:
- Overview
- A statistics dashboard for the whole file: people and family counts, lifespans, generations, most common names, births by decade, and data completeness.
- Tree
- An interactive graphical tree for visualising all parent/child and spouse relationships. Zoom, pan, and click any node to open a profile. Supports multiple style presets and colour themes.
- Charts
- Descendant charts show everyone who descends from a chosen individual. The Relation Report finds the shortest family path between any two people and describes the relationship in plain language.
- People (Table)
- A sortable, filterable spreadsheet of every individual in the file. It's useful for spotting missing dates, duplicate entries, or outlier birth years.
- People (Profiles)
- A detailed page for one individual: birth, death, family connections, events, photos, and sources. Browse from the left-hand panel or jump directly from any other view.
- Families
- One page per family record, with both parents, the relationship details, children, family events, and notes.
- Events
- All life events across your entire tree plotted in chronological order, with date and place.
- Gallery
- All photos and media objects embedded in your GEDCOM file, shown in a grid. Click any image to open it full-size.
- Calendar
- Birthdays and anniversaries and any other important yearly events. Useful for finding whose birthday is coming up.
- Places
- Birth, death, and other event places plotted on an interactive world map. Great for tracing migration routes across generations.
- Sources
- All sources, citations, and repository records linked to individuals in your tree.
- Notes
- Every note in the file in one place, on people, families, and events, each linked to whoever it belongs to.
- Issues
- An automatic validation report that highlights potential data problems: impossible dates, missing parents, conflicting relationships, and more.
- History
- The change log recorded in the file: who was edited and when, according to the GEDCOM change records.
- Editor
- A raw GEDCOM text editor with change highlighting. Edit the file directly, save to re-parse, and revert to the original import at any time.
- Exports
- Every PDF, PNG, CSV, and Excel export you have made for the current file, kept for 14 days for re-download.
- Saved Data
- Everything this site keeps in your browser: saved files, exports, pins, and preferences, each with its own clear button.
